Cookies
This site uses very few cookies and none of them follow you anywhere. Here is what is set, what each one does, and how to get rid of them if you would rather not have them.
In short
Boccalone sets no advertising cookies and no cross-site tracking cookies. What we use is limited to what makes the site function and privacy-respecting analytics that measure pages rather than people. You can block or clear everything here without losing access to any content or tool.
What is set
| Type | Purpose | Can you block it? |
|---|---|---|
| Essential | Basic site function and security | Yes, though some things may not work |
| Preference | Remembering a display choice you made | Yes, with no loss of content |
| Analytics | Aggregate page-level measurement, no individual profiling | Yes, with no loss of content |
| Advertising | None set | Not applicable |
| Cross-site tracking | None set | Not applicable |
What we do not set
- No advertising or retargeting cookies.
- No social-network tracking pixels.
- No cross-site behavioural profiling of any kind.
- No cookies that are required to read an article or use a tool.
Blocking or clearing them
Every current browser lets you block cookies, clear them, or restrict them per site, usually under privacy or site settings.
If you block everything from this site, the content and the worksheets still work. That is a deliberate design constraint: nothing here should be conditional on accepting a cookie.
Third parties
We do not embed advertising networks, social widgets, or comment systems, so there are no third-party cookies coming from those.
If we ever add something that sets a cookie we do not control, this page will list it before it goes live, not afterwards.
Where to go next
Frequently asked questions
Will blocking cookies break the site?
No. The content and every worksheet works with cookies blocked. Only small conveniences, like remembering a display preference, will stop persisting.
Why is there no cookie consent banner?
Because we do not set advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, so there is nothing meaningful to consent to. If that ever changes, the banner arrives at the same time as the cookie, not later.
Do your worksheets store what I enter?
No. The worksheets are written methods with nothing to type into on the site. You keep your records wherever you like, so nothing you record is sent to us or written to a cookie.
Do you use cookies to personalise what I see?
No. Everyone sees the same pages. We do not build reader profiles and we do not vary content based on browsing history.
The fuller picture
Cookies are only part of it. The privacy page covers what we collect, why, and what we refuse to do with it.
